Itinerary

Meet your MTB Dreams guides at Barcelona Airport and after 2h transfer you will get to Cerdanya Valley, the sunniest valley in Europe. Your hotel will be placed in Puigcerdà, capital of the valley in the heart of the Pyrenees where we’ll enjoy a lunch of local dishes. At the hotel we will offer a briefing providing general information of the tour before proceeding to bicycles tuning and fitting. Then, the biker's group will test the bikes on a short warm-up ride along the quiet traffic-less road with impressive views on top of the valley.
  • Destinations: Barcelona / Puigcerdà
  • Ride: Cerdanya valley and its Segre River. Distance 30km. Elevation +250mts
  • Accommodation: Hotel Park / Hotel Villa Paulita

The riding starts with warm up flat section down the valley approximating the basis of Collada de Toses (1.789mts) climb. The option of reaching the nearby Coll de la Creuta back and forth pays off with stunning views upon Catalunya region, sometimes allowing to see the seaside. Once back down Cerdanya valley, the route takes us to the lower part of the valley to come back to Puigcerda following the Segre River in quiet rural lanes. Before dinner there will still be time for a walk around Puigcerdà old town, surrounded by mountains and near the border with France and Andorra. This small town on the shores of the Schierbeck lake used to be one of the favourite summer destinations of the Catalan bourgeoisie a century ago, that’s why it remains a legacy of modernist villas.
  • Destinations: Cerdanya valley, Spain
  • Ride: Collada de Toses climb, Coll de la Creueta, La Plana del Segre Distance 90km. Elevation +1.750mts
  • Accommodation: Hotel Park / Hotel Villa Paulita

Explore the authentic roads connecting Spain with the French Ariege and Capcir regions. This cycling route primarily utilizes quiet, secondary roads favored by World Tour professional cyclists for training and featuring in races like the Tour de France and La Vuelta, like the Col de Pailhères. Cyclists will be challenged and rewarded by mountain lakes, high plateaus, and numerous cols.
  • Destinations: Font-Romeu, Ax Les Thermes
  • Ride: Col du Calvaire, Col de Pailhères. Distance 100km. Elevation +1.750mts
  • Accommodation: Hotel Park / Hotel Villa Paulita

Today’s stage crosses 2 borders to ride 3 countries in one day. The initial part of the stage features a gentle uphill ride starting in Spain and leading to Portè in France. From there, riders will tackle the impressive Col du Puymorens, a 6km climb with a 6% average gradient, renowned for its stunning natural scenery. Following a short descent, the route continues with the ascent of the Col d’Envalira, the highest pass in Andorra at 2.407 meters. Upon reaching the summit of Coll d’Envalira, a long descent of approximately 30km awaits, bringing cyclists to Andorra la Vella. This descent passes through the charming villages of Soldeu, Canillo, Encamp, and Escaldes.
  • Destinations: Porté Puymorens, Andorra la Vella
  • Ride: Col de Puymorens, Port d’en Valira. Distance 80km. Elevation +1.770mts
  • Accommodation: Hotel Park Piolets

The day starts with a long and progressive climb to the city of Canillo and then to the port. Have a look at the Mirador del Quer just above your head, a 12m platform with more than 500m of free fall. We can make a quick stop (18th kilometer) and visit this panoramic balcony. After getting to the pass of Coll d’Ordino, the descent to Ordino is nice and easy with a bunch of technical U turns. Then, the approach to La Coma d’Arcalis starts through typical mountain villages. Arcalis has been the finish line of Tour de France in 1997, 2009 and 2016 with the victories of Jan Ulrich, Brice Feillu and Tom Dumoulin. The pass is 2.300m above sea level. Work done for stage 2. Shower, spare time and drinks are waiting for you at the hotel. Dinner in a typical Andorran downtown restaurant.
  • Destinations: Andorra La Vella, Ordino
  • Ride: Col d’Ordino, Col d’Arcalis, Andorra la Vella. Distance 75km. Elevation +1.900mts
  • Accommodation: Hotel Park Piolets
